The tourist will be picked up from Islamabad Airport and transferred to the hotel. After a quick check-in at Serena Hotel, Islamabad you will leave for a tour of the capital. After a long journey, the therapeutic drive to Margalla Mountain will be nothing short of a meditative experience for you. Visit Monal Restaurant � a restaurant located on Margalla Hills - for some quick snacks and a splendid of the city�s thick forests. We recommend their cheese naans � a delicacy that has received raving reviews from foodies. After a refreshing drive around the city and its mountains, the guests will be treated with a lavish Afghan dinner at Dawat Restaurant in Serena Hotel. Kabuli Pulao � fried rice with onions, nuts, sultanas, and vegetables will become the highlight of the day for the guests. Enjoy the sweet and savory waltz of Afghani Pulao along with meat treats barbecued to perfection before calling it a night.
After breakfast, you will leave early in the morning for Islamabad to catch a flight to Gilgit of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. A quick check-in at Serena Hotel, Gilgit will be followed by an extensive dive into the Buddhist accents of the valley. Our first stop will be the Kargah Buddha � an archeological site with a carved image of Buddha in Kargah Nallah approximately 30 minutes away from the Serena Hotel. The Kargah Buddha is located at the junction of two rivulets. After a short trek, the guests will experience the serenity of the two water bodies before heading to the Gilgit market. Gilgit is a carnival of color, heritage, fiesta, and beauty. Visit Gilgit markets, try local snacks here, and soak in the peacefulness of the community here. The guests will drive back to the hotel to enjoy dinner at Dumani. Savor an extravagant Pakistani meal with views of the on-site gardens.
After breakfast, you will experience the drive on the famous Karakoram Highway to Karimabad with a memorable stopover at the Rakaposhi view point. Lined with an assembly of trees with snow-draped mountains in the backdrop, the viewpoint is an unbelievable vista straight out of nature�s fairytale. Guests will enjoy local snacks here before heading back to the hotel to truly grasp the magnitude of the valley. Check-in at the Serena Inn, Hunza will be followed by an on-site exploration of Hunzai culture. The hotel offers guests fully equipped rooms as well as chalets! You will be staying in these chalets (called tents by the hotel) that come with a private veranda overlooking the Ganish village, Nagar valley, Rakaposhi & Diran Mountains. The evening will be dedicated to Baltit Fort which located approximately 21 minutes away (by foot) from the hotel. The Baltit Fort is another landmark nestled amidst the peaks drenched in the architectural excellence of Baltic culture. You will explore the local bazaar while snacking on delicacies from the valley being served at roadside kiosks. An extravagant traditional dinner will be served at Osho Marak Restaurant that offers quintessential Hunzai cuisine with a view of the mountains. After dinner, the guests can rest at leisure and recharge for tomorrow.
Guests will embark on an early morning guided walking trip to Hunza Valley to witness the sky-high mountains and thick meadows decorated with morning dew. Visit homes of locals that earn their livelihood from the local farms to explore the semi-rural allure of the valley. The region has an agricultural anchor so make sure you pick a few fresh fruits and fresh dairy products for a taste on your way. Engage with the community here and continue to walk to witness traditional food preservation methods Our next stop is the Altit fort � a rocky landmark that was originally the home of Hunza�s rulers. The fort � with Hunza Peak towering behind it - is one the main tourist attractions of the region which received the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2011. Located in the shadows of Altit Fort is the Kha Basi Caf� that offers a range of bite-sized delicacies and a stunning view of the fort and the mountains around. You will stop for snacks in this cottage-style caf� known for local specialties like Dawdo, Chap Shuro, Diram Phitti, Berikutz, and Tumuru Chai (Wild Thyme Tea). An extravagant traditional dinner will be served at Diran Terraces BBQ. Enjoy local delicacies with a beautiful view of the Ultar Peak, Lady Finger, Mount Diran Peak, and Rakaposhi.
