Guests should take this opportunity to visit other tourist attractions in the capital such as Daman-e-Koh and Pakistan Monument. Daman-e-Koh is a hilltop garden and viewing point that offers splendid views of Islamabad s thick forests and is located just 15 minutes away (by car) from Monal. Pakistan Monument, on the other hand, may interest history and architecture lovers. The national monument and heritage museum is a symbol of the unity of Pakistani people and a must-visit for anyone interested in Islamic architecture. The monument is approximately 20 minutes away (by car) from Daman-e-Koh. Dinner will be served at Dawat a Pakistani fine dine restaurant in Serena Hotel, Islamabad. Enjoy the indulgent setting of the restaurant and swoon to a tasteful traditional music performance while the chefs prepare your order in a live kitchen.
Prepare to be mesmerized! We rise early to be transferred to a helipad where you will embark on a scenic flight to Karimabad. Buzz over the sky-high mountains of the valley adorned with snow and the lush meadows that sway to the song of the cool wind. After landing in Karimabad, guests will be transferred to Serena Inn, Hunza where they can rest at leisure and replay the exclusive experience of a helicopter ride in their mind. The hotel is an experience on its own and offers guests fully-equipped rooms as well as classic chalets. You will be staying in these chalets (referred to as tents by the hotel) that come with a private veranda overlooking the Ganish village, Nagar valley, Rakaposhi & Diran Mountains. Karimabad is a converging point of many cultures, civilizations, and traditions. The guests will get the opportunity to dive into the diversity of cultures here before they head back to the hotel hi-tea with a view. Let our hospitality pamper you as you bask in the natural magnificence of the valley, relish the taste of local desserts and snacks. An all-encompassing cultural experience will end with a local feast served at Osho Marak Restaurant. We have added traditional music and bonfires to the mix to your dining experience to make it wholesome in every way. After a hearty meal, visitors can retire for the day and rest at leisure.
After breakfast we head out to experience Hunza. We will start with the guided tour to Altit Fort along with the Hunza Women s Social Enterprise Tour. This will be a short drive from Serena Inn, Hunza since the Fort is just 7 minutes away (by car). The tour will give the guests a chance to witness the women of the valley in action as they weave, stitch, paint and design sartorial and decorative masterpieces. Women s Social Enterprise was a brainchild that came after the restoration of Altit Fort. Moreover, you will get a chance to delve into the taste of the valley by trying the Baling-e-Desherum (local walnut pancake). The pancakes warm, the sugary flavor has made it a must-have for guests from within Pakistan and abroad. After an eventful day, dinner and dessert will be served at Diran Terrace BBQ. Enjoy the awe-inspiring view of the Ultar Peak, Lady Finger, Mount Diran Peak, and Rakaposhi while you are served barbequed specialties from the region. The meat comes from the hotel s livestock and the vegetables from their organic gardens. Get introduced to local poetry as musicians serenade you with signature notes from the valley.
This day is tailor-made to provide you with a boost of adventure and adrenalin. After breakfast, you will begin your road trip to the highest borders of the world, en route Attabad Lake and the world s most dangerous Suspension Bridge. Polish your balancing act on the Hussaini Hanging Bridge, a rope bridge with planks that gives you a panoramic view of the lake underneath and the mountains around you. The bridge has 399 steps and every step will get you close to conquering fear. This activity will be followed by a short walk trek in Khunjerab National Park. Boasted as one of Pakistan s largest national parks, Khunjerab National Park is home to many endangered species such as snow leopards and Siberian ibex. Depending on the season and time you visit, you may spot a red fox, Tibetan wolf, and Marco Polo Sheep here. The last outdoor activity of this day ends here. The guests will head to Moksha Hotel to rest and enjoy their snacks at the resort. After a much-needed break, dinner will be served at Moksha Resort. Freshly tossed and cooked in the finest of spices and condiments, enjoy a lavish seafood dinner next to a bonfire. The guide will take the guests for a light night walk around the hotel after the dinner to help them get familiar with the landscape of the valley.
Wake up with the sunrise and take a light stroll in the Gulmit Village before you have breakfast at Moksha Resort. Gulmit Village is a small town huddled between mountains and glaciers and has become a tourist attraction over the years. Our guests would love exploring the centuries of history still looming over its streets and the overall rural simplicity of the town. The group will then depart for Islamabad. This is approximately a 14 hours long drive (by car) so take this time to self-reflect as the scenic mountain views flash by. We have planned photo stops along the journey on the way back to keep you on your toes. A quick check-in at Serena Hotel, Islamabad will be followed by guests exploring the on-site amenities.
