In this trip we take you through a guided journey of Pakistan’s largest national park – the Hingol National Park and further into the westernmost region of Pakistan – the Chaghi District. Explore valleys, canyons, and rugged mountain gorges as you set out either to hunt or explore the wild. Here’s the complete 11-day itinerary to prepare you for a chase of a lifetime.
You will be picked from Jinnah International Airport and transferred to the Pearl Continental Hotel. Visit the mausoleum and the museum of relics of our leader Quaid-E-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah Later we will drive you to the PAF Museum so that you can get acquainted with Pakistan s airspace history. We will then have a food-tasting tour in the diplomatic area of Clifton which is a hotspot of 5-6 of the most popular and diverse eateries in Karachi s culinary scene. We have picked Caf Flo to give you a taste of French cuisine, Okra for a tantalizing Pan-Asian experience, and Khanji to treat your tastebuds with local cuisine. After a tempting food experience we sit at an open-air dhaabacalled Chai Wala Caf to give you a glimpse of the urban chai scene while you sip on milky tea and enjoy the cool breeze. After a quick visit to the Mohatta Palace Museum we will return to the hotel for late dinner. Your meal will be served at Jason Steak House an on-site restaurant at PC that offers succulent and juicy premium-cut steaks cooked to perfection for the meat lover in you.
After breakfast, get greeted at your hotel with your revving automobile for the journey. A hybrid Revo or Hummer picked for your journey through beach shorelines, dirt tracks, and high-speed expressways. Set out early as we have 450km to cover with 5 stops. We head out on N25 with stopovers for roadside tea and pictures at the commercial site of Hub as we enter Balochistan. We will stop at Uthal a town in Lasbela District of Balochistan - for our lunch. From Camel biryani to Camel BBQ, we enjoy the extravagant taste of this arid province with every bite. We drive for approximately 1 hour to reach our fourth site to explore the historic caves of Gondrani. Known as the house of mysteries and spirits, these ancient caves feature undeciphered symbols and evidence of a civilization, the identity of which remains a mystery even to this date. Explore the small, dark chamber-like rooms here. Some of the rooms show traces of cooking facilities and some even come with their veranda. While you re in the area, ask your guide to take you to the Lasbela University of Agriculture, water, and marine sciences (LUAWMS). The institution of higher education commits to innovative technology, cutting-edge research, and superior public service. The university has institutionalized the agricultural knowledge Pakistan s dominant primary sector stands on. Finally you will head back to Kund Malir Beach Resort where we will stay the night. The journey time between Gondrani and Kund Malir is approximately 2 hours and 55 minutes, but we have arranged for a scenic stop at Sapat Beach on our way to catch amazing sunset views and the phenomenon of bioluminescence. We will also explore the Chandragup Mud Volcano here an active mud volcano situated in Hingol National Park. Hindus in the region consider the volcano as a holy site which is why it is an important stopover for pilgrims who are on their way to the Shri Hinglaj Mata Temple. After an eventful day in the rustic setting of Balochistan, we will reach Golden Beach Kund Malir in the evening.
Today we visit Hingol National Park in our car Pakistan s largest national park located approximately 30 minutes away (by car) from Kund Malir Resort. We traverse through the winding Buzzi Pass which offers a magnificent view of the vast blue water of the Arabian Sea on one side, and the raw and wild mountains on the other side. Once we reach the national park, you will witness the Sphinx-shaped rock formation of Lion of Balochistan sitting on top of a mountain at Hingol. The structure has been naturally carved by winds and rains over the years and has become a tourist attraction because finesse of the sphinx makes it hard to believe that it is not man-made. We will travel inwards to the park and explore the Princess of Hope another unbelievable natural rock formation that looks like a princess looking over the horizon while she waits for her loved one to come back. The structure is a masterpiece crafted by the breeze coming from the Arabian Sea! We will set up the campsite here and go trekking. Explore the wildlife in the region and soak in the beauty of the park s landscape. It includes exotic shaped mountains, subtropical forests, blue lakes, and rare mammals, reptiles and bird breeds. Hingol has an abundant population of the Sindh Ibex, Blandford Urial, and the Chinkara Deer. Spot the animals and terrains for our big game hunt for the next day. We have included small-game hunting of ducks and rabbits to get your engines revved up for tomorrow. Hunting guides and dog will be provided by us so all you have to do is keep your eyes on the target. Your catch from the hunting game will be turned into a lavish BBQ dinner which will be served in the wild at our camp. Enjoy your private bonfire camp in the forest.
Wake up early morning and enjoy a cup of hot tea before we set out for your big-game hunt. Your big-game hunt will depend on the category of hunt you have chosen. You will be accompanied by hunting guides to help you mark and go for your one shot. Return to the campsite to freshen up after the tiring emotional physical journey. We will visit the Hinglaj Mata Temple a temple that is considered a prominent site by Hindu Pilgrims coming to the area for religious festivals. Over the decades, Hinglaj Mata Temple has become a converging point for the Hindu community residing in Pakistan. Plan your trip in spring so that you can witness the spiritual fervor at Hinglaj Yatra - the largest Hindu pilgrimage with more than 250,000 attendees every year. The day will end with a traditional Balochi Sajji (chicken and mutton) that will be served in the wilderness of the campsite. Enjoy succulent meat cooked in typical Balochi style over chats with your tour mates in the silence of the night.
You will head out for Karachi Airport where we take a flight to Quetta. The total flight time from Karachi to Quetta is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can also choose a 10-hour long drive to Quetta to get familiar with the region. We will kick-start the second leg of the journey in Quetta by driving towards Chaghi District. You will check in to Quetta Serena Hotel and spend some time relaxing in the pool and the hot steam at the spa. Your suite rooms come with a plush King pillow-top bed, attached bathroom with amenities, a spacious sitting area, a designated butler, and access to Executive Lounge. Relax and unwind in your room before we explore Chaghi. Chaghi is a different area from our first leg, with a different terrain to conquer and different people to hunt with. Dinner will be served at Ziarat Coffee Shop - a cozy, casual onsite eatery that serves Pakistani and International cuisine both (buffet-style and a la carte). The restaurant hosts creative themed nights and features live music. You will have dinner with the professional hunting guides. Strategize your next hunt over traditional Balochi dinner with daring hunters from the region.
You will set out in the morning towards Chaghi on a 9-hours drive towards the Pakistan-Iran Taftan border. Enroute you will pass the desert plains of Nushki known for being a starting point for the British exploration of Central Asia and Dalbandin. The two areas played a role in the colonial times which is why they have a plethora of stories associated with them. Our tour guides have mastered the art of storytelling so prepare to be enthralled by the story of how the area initially known as Naalbandin (meaning fixer of horse hooves) got its contemporary name, Dalbandin. Stay at the rest house of the local Nawab at Saindak. This vast area crevasses between the mountains of Iran and Afghanistan and is blessed with Markhors and Ibexes from both terrains. In addition to that there are the migratory birds that travel from Central Asia via the Chaghi region into Pakistan.
These two days you stay in campsites in Saindak and the Chaghi District as you hunt according to your licensed game category. Hunting guides accompany the hunt to make sure the rules set by the provinces are followed. Non-hunters can go on Markhor trails. Markhor can live from 600 to 3,600 meters high in the mountains but they are a bit difficult to spot because of their shy nature. Markhors along with the Ibex, however, give a thrilling chase to the hunters on foot and car. Put your hunting cap on and feel the adrenaline rush as you chase these exotic animals. We help you cover this trail on the vast mountain valleys and plains of Saindak. Ask your tour guide to take you around the popular Saindak Mines that are rich in copper and gold reserves. You will spend the night in premium campsites and enjoy the Baloch hospitality including a feast of Kadi Kebab in the desert on the last day.
You will be driven to Quetta Airport early morning for a 10 hours long road journey which gives enough time to capture the rawness of this region both in your mind and in your cameras. Upon reaching the airport, you will catch your flight back to Karachi. You will check-in at Pearl Continental and get ready for dinner at Marco Polo. We recommend the fried fish and mutton ginger here if you love all things meat and want to get a taste of Pakistan. The onsite restaurant is also known for its Nihari(chicken beef stew with garlic and chilies) and Halwa(a subcontinental dessert made with milk and dry fruits). So make sure you come with a big appetite because this restaurant knows how to treat you well.
Its time to unwind! Spend the day at the hotel to get the vibes of the metropolis and to make arrangements for your flight back with the trophy. Make full use of in-room facilities such as free room service, wireless internet access, and a flat TV with cable satellite channels to dial up the luxury on this trip. Your suite rooms come with complimentary access to the Executive Lounge where you can relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and connect with your tour mates. Pearl Continental offers premium amenities so enjoy this day by indulging in a luxurious spa therapy treatment, taking a dip in the pool, or de-stressing at the gym. Once you have freshened up, enjoy lunch at Zamana after which we will take you for a tour of different creative hubs in Karachi such as Commune Artist Colony and TDF Ghar. Commune Artist Colony is a creative gathering space for budding and seasoned artists, fashion designers, filmmakers, and musicians to exhibit their work. TDF Ghar, on the other hand, is a heritage site that acts as a liaison between the youth of Karachi and the country s rich history. Sit in the alfresco Sehan Caf that boasts Irani caf culture and enjoy a cup of tea in this artsy house that still preserves the old world charm of Karachi from the 1930s. End your trip with a private fine-dine yacht dinner over the Arabia Sea.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Jinnah International Airport for your flight back home. We hope you enjoyed this thrill-packed journey loaded with culinary concepts, artistic spaces, and nerve-testing chases across Balochistan. Book this tour with us anytime to get your hunt on!
